Taidekerho 2-4lk:lle perjantaisin

Tervetuloa Alfin taidekerhoon perjantaisin klo 13-14:30. Kerho on suunnattu tänä vuonna 2-4-luokkalaisille ja se pidetään Maritan luokassa koulun kirjaston vieressä. Kerhon alussa voi halutessaan syödä pienen välipalan.

Ensimmäinen kerhokerta on 31.8. Kerhoon ilmoittautumiset otetaan ensimmäisellä kerhokerralla tai jos ei pääse tuolloin, voi ilmoittautua Marita Reinikan kautta Wilmassa. Kerho on ilmainen. Kerho jatkuu niin pitkään kuin kerhotuntien rahoitusta riittää. Marita ilmoittaa Wilman kautta sitten kun kerho loppuu.

Alfi's greetings from Art club

When you work with children you never know whom you are dealing with. They come to your lessons wearing furry pullovers, funny ponytails, t-shirts with unicorns and minions. At first they look worried and and a little frozen. Time goes by and they warm up and open. You get to know the personality of a child, his or her peculiarities, dreams and fears. And then comes that big “boom” moment - they grow up and go on their way. It is very interesting to watch them in becoming mature. They grow moustaches and muscles, become adult, run marathon, move to Malaysia, graduate from a university, get family and children... And you just see those ponytails and minions. And each time there is a thought: “who could have guessed?” Yes we never know whom we are teaching. Will this boy invent a remedy against cancer or will he be an excellent father of a big family? Will she become an artist? Scientist? Model? We never know. I try to treat them with the respect in advance. What if I am talking to a future president, at the moment.  And the requirements are quite high because of the same reason. “So Mr. President will you please finish your painting?”, something like that sounds in my head during the lessons.

Last Friday it was the last art club lesson during this term. Some of the students graduated the school and are leaving. What can I say? You have a long way to go. Beautiful and sparkling. And thank you very much that we were walking some part of it together. It was a great journey.

Parental committee made it possible to award the most hardworking students. Thank you very much.  The prizes got Senni Syvänen (6j), Eimi Engman (5m) and Arwa Ali (3u). Thank you girls for the great works. Arwa wasn't present,  so her presents are waiting for her.

Also we bought some brushes wooden artists manikin and marble paints for the next term. So, let's meet in August to start a new journey!

Taidekerhon äänestys on nyt ratkennut! Onnea kärkikolmikolle

Tänään vietettiin taidekerhon päättäjäisiä. Näyttelyn äänestys on ollut käynnissä muutaman viikon ajan ja tänään oli ääntenlaskennan vuoro. Kolmen kärki tulee nyt tässä;

Tervetuloa taidenäyttelyyn

Tervetuloa koulumme kirjastoon taidenäyttelyyn. Näyttelyn yhteydessä on tuttuun tapaan äänestys kevään parhaimmasta taiteilijasta. Äänestykseen voi osalllistua kaikki Länkkärin aikuiset sekä oppilaat. Toivon kovasti että opettajat löytävät ajan äänestämiseen luokittain. Näin äänestystulos on varmasti reilu. Myös vanhemmat saavat äänestää. Tänä keväänä ei järjestetä kevätriehaa joten rohkeasti vaan  käymään koululla äänestämässä!

Tässä makupaloja taideteoksista mutta tottakai ne ovat paljon vaikuttampia livenä.

Äänestysaikaa on 23.5. klo 12 asti. Voittajat julkistetaan klo 14 kirjastossa.

Kiitos Alfi taas mahtavasta työstä kerholaisten eteen. Laittakaa ihmeessä kerholaisten vanhemmat viestiä rehtorille jos toivotte kerhoa ensi vuoteenkin. Ainakin lapset tänään toivoivat niiiiiin kovasti kerholle jatkoa.

Swapping art cards

Some people collect stamps or coins, others collect trading cards with famous football or hockey players. Few people know about art trading cards. Usually they are of the size of  regular trading cards, but they are self-made. Artists are free to use any techniques, media and materials to create cards which they swap. There should be name, date and place on a card. One can swap his own cards on a special events or find some sites that help to look for activists from all over the world.

The movement began in 1997 by a Swiss artist M. Vanci Stirnemann. He created 1200 cards as a part of an exhibition. On the closing date of the exhibition he offered visitors to create their own cards to swap with him.  It was a start for the whole new movement.

Once, I ran into invitation on the Internet to participate in such a swap. Our art club did the cards and they went to the USA. Our swap partner was half of the globe away - Lafayette High School from St. Louis. All our artist were very excited to participate in this project. Somebody even didn't believe that the cards will actually make it all the way to the United States. The topic was nature. We sent the cards and were waiting for the reply.

Meghan O’Donnell from St. Louis sent us the picture. We can see our own works on the display there. Thank you very much! It looks so great!

And one more thing to say. The cards from the USA are actually in school already! They came on Wednesday last week,  but since the art club had been cancelled that week because of the Easter holidays, the envelope stayed there, still unopened! It was very hard to fight the temptation! We are going to open it together with art club students this Thursday!

Taidekerhon palkitut

Taidekerhon äänestystulos on nyt selvillä.
1. sija: Fanny 6O- luokalta sai yli 100 ääntä

2. sija: Eemeli 4U-luokalta sai toiseksi eniten ääniä. Hyvä!!

3.sija: Laura 6O-luokalta pronssilla.

Onnea kaikille voittajille. Kiitokset äänestäjille ja erityiskiitokset Alfille taidekerhon vetämistä. Voittajakolmikon palkinnot kustansi Länsimetsän vanhempainyhdistys! Tammikuussa jatkuu taas taidekerho. Tervetuloa entiset ja uudetkin kerholaiset!

Taidekerhon näyttely on avautunut

Tervetuloa Länsimetsän koulun kirjastoon ihailemaan taidekerhon teoksia. Esiillä on 13 taiteilijan töitä ja otin kuvia muutamista töistä. Alfi- kerho-ope on neuvonut ja opastanut ja oppilaat ovat saaneet aikaiseksi huikeita töitä. Taidenäyttelyssä on myös äänestys. Jokainen  näyttelyssä kävijä saa äänestää mielestään parasta taiteilijaa. Näyttely on auki joulujuhlaan 17.12. asti. Juhlan jälkeen klo 12 kerholaiset kokoontuvat kuulemaan äänestyksen tulokset. Kiitokset vanhempainyhdistykselle kolmen eniten ääniä saaneen taitelilijan palkinnoista. Superkiitokset Alfille uskomattomasta työstä taidekerhossa!
